Final Project

Our final project is very big project. What are the components that are to be included? Can you provide more examples? Should we include copies of student worksheets? How can we incorporate a field trip activity if needed? Is it also practical to invite a guest speaker or consultant on the subject matter of the project? How long should each component be?

Please get back to us asap.
thanx

P/s: On presenting our final project, are we expected to highlight parts of the project or conduct the entire 4 hour project?

  1. Thank you for the thoughtful questions. Final project has two main components: instructor guide, and student materials (handouts, slides, exams, project descriptions) etc. Sure you can definitely use field trip activities. You may also invite a guest speaker.
About timing, the entire project is two hours (3 hours if you work as a team). The length of every activity is up to you! Guest speaking, of course, should not be longer than 30 minutes. The instructor needs to teach!

  2. The final presentation is only 5 minutes per person, 10 minutes per team. You'll talk ABOUT your project, how did you come up with the topic, your teaching approaches, your design method, technologies used, etc.

  3. About examples, there are plenty on the course website. Look at Mission to Mars closely.
